Structural Welder (2 positions)
Job Title:
Experienced Structural Welder Pay Range:
$25.00 -- $35.00 / hour
Job Type:
Full-time (On-site)
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (8-Hour Day Shift) About Us We are a well-established steel company in San Diego with a long-standing reputation for quality and innovation. By integrating modern technology into our shop processes, we maintain high efficiency and precision on structural steel projects. We are seeking a skilled, long-term Structural Welder to join our team. About the Role This is a mid-level welding position focused on structural steel components, heavy assemblies, baseplates, and structural connections. You will work closely with our shop fabricators to perform clean, high-integrity welds, ensuring production moves at a steady, efficient pace while maintaining strict quality standards. Key Responsibilities Perform high-quality structural welds on structural steel beams, columns, frames, moment connections, and baseplates. Clean, finish, and inspect welds to ensure full fusion, joint penetration, and compliance with shop quality standards. Interpret structural drawings, weld symbols, and project specifications. Set up, maintain, and adjust welding machines and wire feed equipment for optimal performance. Work collaboratively with shop fabricators and team members, follow all shop safety protocols, and maintain an organized work area.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on structural steel welding experience (required). Certifications /
Process Requirements:
Must be certified in .068 / .072 NR-232 (Innershield / FCAW-S) processes. Must be certified in .045 / .052 / .065 Dual Shield (FCAW-G) processes.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of structural welding processes, joint prep, wire feed setup, and blueprint weld symbols.
Attributes:
High efficiency, strong attention to weld quality/integrity, team-player attitude, and reliable transportation.
Language:
English proficiency required; Spanish language skills are a strong plus.
Other Certifications:
Forklift experience is a plus (onsite training provided as needed).
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Compensation & Benefits Pay:
