Ideal candidate will have multiple skill sets. In addition to meeting minimum qualifications for the position of Metal Framer, the ideal candidate will possess the following critical attributes: Preparing equipment, selecting suitable metal studs for securing frames and tracks, and covering secure frames with drywall boards. Individuals may also be required to oversee crew members. Conduct repairs, remodels, additions and upgrades to existing structures. Candidates need to confirm to local building codes, be able to read blueprints, sketches or building plans for information such as material required. Must be able to manage a crew of 4-10 Journeymen/laborers Must be able to read and understand complex blueprints, building plans and specifications Must be able to do layouts of framing per plans Excellent communications and people skills to interact with General Contractors/Superintendents/Crews/Subcontractors/Project Managers Experience in rough metal framing Able to follow all safety rules, procedures, and local building codes Knowledgeable and efficient with power tools Able to stand, stoop and bend for long periods of time Able to work outdoors in different weather conditions Must be punctual and have excellent attendance Must be able to give and take strict instructions Must be a team player Must be respectful to team members and clients
