POSITION SUMMARY

The Construction Installer is responsible for the installation, assembly, and modification of commercial refrigeration systems and related structural components. This position involves both on-site installation and shop fabrication, including welding, cutting, and fitting of metal materials to meet project specifications and safety standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Actively participating in daily operations, and a readiness to perform hands-on tasks when needed. Install, assemble, and secure refrigeration system components, including piping, support frames, and panels. Perform welding (MIG, TIG, and/or stick) and cutting on steel, aluminum, and stainless materials as required. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and installation plans. Measure and align components to ensure proper fit and function. Operate power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment safely and efficiently. Assist with layout, fabrication, and modification of metal parts or assemblies. Work with team members to ensure installations are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with safety regulations. Inspect and test completed installations for quality assurance and adherence to company standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored. Follow all safety procedures and wear proper PPE at all times. Perform other duties as assigned that are specific to TDI Refrigeration operations or related company programs.

Requirements:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred. 2+ years of experience in construction installation, welding, or fabrication. Proficiency in MIG and/or TIG welding; valid welding certification preferred.

OTHER KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Ability to read and interpret construction and fabrication blueprints. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
