Job Description

Job Overview We are searching to find a highly experienced framer/carpenter who understands the complex world of custom home framing and has the motivation or prior experience to add welding to your resume. Due to the complex integration of the highly custom home designs we build, we need someone who understand framing and finishes as well as the desire to fabricate and install some of the most dynamic and custom steel components on these complex projects we build. Prior welding experience is preferrable not a deal breaker as we would be willing to educate and guide you through eventually obtaining required certifications. We are an established company with over 30 years of experience with our employees getting 40 to 45 hours a week. Duties Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to accurately assemble structures Measure and mark materials using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise cuts and fits Fabricate metal components from sheet metal and other materials using plasma cutting, press brake machines, and hand tools Perform welding operations including MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), FCAW, SMAW (stick welding), adhering to AWS (American Welding Society) standards and ASME codes & standards Use rigging techniques for lifting and positioning heavy components safely on construction sites or in the shop Operate power tools such as grinders, drills, saws, and threading machines for assembly and fabrication tasks Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols at all times while working with heavy machinery and welding equipment Requirements Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of custom home wood framing and finishes Ability to understand structural assembly and metal fabrication processes Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and interpreting mechanical blueprints accurately Skilled in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, with certification preferred or willing ness to learn and obtain Ability to use measuring instruments such as tape measures, and other precision tools effectively Mechanical knowledge of metal materials, fabrication shop operations, ASME standards, and safety protocols Familiarity with rigging procedures for lifting heavy components safely on construction sites or in the shop environment Strong shop math skills combined with basic math proficiency necessary for precise measurements and calculations Knowledge of construction site safety practices including OSHA regulations or equivalent standards Ability to operate power tools and hand tools efficiently while maintaining high safety standards Join our team if you're ready to bring your expertise in framing and welding to exciting projects that demand craftsmanship and attention to detail. Pay:
$28.00 - $33.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 45.0 per week
