Job Description Skilled Welder Classification:
Full-Time Paid Weekly
COMPETITIVE WAGE - BASED ON EXPERIENCE
On the job training and certification support provided. Referral Program - up to $2000 per referral. Position Summary Perform structural and production welding on precast concrete forms, embedded steel components, and related assemblies. Read blueprints, fabricate, repair, and assemble metal forms while producing high-quality welds in support of safe and efficient manufacturing operations. Responsibilities Weld metal parts using MIG (GMAW) and other approved welding processes in a safe manner. Perform thermal cutting, grinding, and finishing operations as required. Fabricate, repair, and modify steel forms, embedded components, and production equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and production drawings. Measure, position, align, and clamp components prior to welding. Inspect completed welds for quality and conformance with specifications. Maintain welding equipment and perform routine housekeeping of the work area. Communicate production or quality concerns to supervisors promptly. Follow all Lindsay Family of Brands and OSHA safety requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. One to three years of welding experience or formal welding training. GMAW (MIG) 3G Certification required. Ability to read fabrication drawings and use measuring tools accurately. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Strong work ethic with dependable attendance. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50-60 lbs. Manual dexterity to safely operate welding and fabrication equipment. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work throughout the shift. Ability to work indoors and outdoors with overtime as needed. Required PPE including welding helmet, hard hat, steel-toed boots, gloves, hearing protection, and safety glasses.
