Job Description
Job Title:
Fitter Job Description This role focuses on fitting and fabricating silencers, pressure vessels, and large valves primarily made from carbon steel. The fitter assembles vessels, pipes, and shells, fits structural supports and components, and performs light welding using MIG and flux-core processes. The position involves working from blueprints, using fabrication equipment, and contributing to high-quality, precision-built products in a clean, climate-controlled shop. Essential Skills Minimum of 5 years of fitting and fabrication experience. Proven ability to fit vessels and pipe accurately and efficiently. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings. Proficiency in MIG welding for light welding tasks. Proficiency in flux-core welding for fabrication and fit-up work. Work Environment The work takes place in a clean, air-conditioned shop environment. The primary schedule runs from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, with most Saturdays and Sundays also available or required. Candidates should be comfortable working long shifts, including 13-hour days during busy periods. . . . . Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX 77032. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $29.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
