Friday Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Class A Welders with 3+ years of structural welding experience for immediate openings. Our work primarily involves FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding), with SMAW, GMAW, and SAW being a plus. If you have experience with bridge, girder work, heavy structural steel , and tank work , this is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team.
Welding Test:
You must be able to pass a welding test before the interview process.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
D1.1, D1.5 , CWI , WSP
, Back Gouging , Bridge and Girder Work Class A Welder only - no GTAW (gas tungsten arc welding) 3+ years experience with
FCAW , SMAW
, and GMAW welding processes Strong knowledge of Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS) Proficient in reading and interpreting weld symbols Experience with large steel/metal components Ability to run 5/16" fillet weld on 1/2" plate and a groove weld on 1" plate with backing bar Back gouging experience Previous experience with heavy structural steel , bridge , and tank work is preferred Ability to work in flat , horizontal , and vertical positions Experienced in using grinders and other hand/power tools in the welding industry
Key Responsibilities:
Produce acceptable groove welds and fillet welds in various positions using
FCAW , SMAW
, and GMAW processes Pass fillet break tests and bend tests on groove welds Able to work in all weather conditions in an open-air environment Physically capable of standing, stooping, bending, lifting, and reaching for long periods Ensure a drug-free workplace and adhere to safety regulations Follow direction from supervisors and work cohesively within a team
Additional Requirements:
Reliable attendance and punctuality is a must Safety-conscious with a strong understanding of federal, state, and company safety standards Able to perform duties with good vision and hearing for safety Communication skills : Ability to listen attentively and accurately follow directions Ability to maintain a clean and safe work area
