Job Summary We are seeking an Experienced and motivated Aluminum TIG Welder to join our fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise welding operations on aluminum components using Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding techniques. Your expertise will ensure the production of high-quality, durable metal structures and assemblies in accordance with industry standards and technical specifications. Duties Perform aluminum welding using TIG (GTAW) process, ensuring clean, strong, and accurate welds aligned with project specifications. Determine welding requirements and procedures, know how to measure. Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math skills to verify dimensions and tolerances before welding. Prepare materials by cleaning, aligning, and clamping components to facilitate precise welds. Operate power tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment for material preparation and finishing tasks. Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety protocols, handling tools properly, and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Collaborate with team members on assembly processes, fabrication tasks, and quality inspections to meet project deadlines. Experience Proven experience in metal fabrication with a focus on aluminum TIG welding within a construction site or fabrication shop environment. Hands-on experience with various welding techniques including TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and stick welding. Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools for quality control. Knowledge of safety protocols specific to construction sites and metal fabrication shops. Mechanical knowledge related to assembly, machining, plasma cutting, sheet metal fabrication, and metal materials handling. Applying shop math for fabrication tasks. Previous experience working with aluminum materials in sheet metal fabrication or mechanical fabrication environments is highly preferred.
