Responsibilities Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to accurately install rebar, formwork, and structural steel components. Install reinforcing steel (rebar) in concrete structures following specifications to ensure structural integrity. Construct and assemble formwork for concrete pouring, ensuring proper alignment and stability according to design requirements. Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely for cutting, bending, and positioning steel and concrete forms. Pour, spread, finish, and cure concrete in various applications such as floors, walls, and foundations while adhering to safety protocols. Coordinate with other trades like carpentry and masonry to ensure seamless project progression. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while following all construction workplace safety regulations. Requirements Proven experience working on construction projects with a focus on structural steel installation or concrete work. Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation. Strong ability to read blueprints, interpret technical drawings, and understand blueprint specifications related to rebar installation and formwork construction. Knowledge of construction estimating processes is a plus for understanding project scope and resource needs. Familiarity with concrete mixing, pouring, finishing, cutting, pumping, and curing techniques. Understanding of construction workplace safety regulations including OSHA standards or equivalent safety protocols. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights or in confined spaces as required by project demands.
