Production Supervisor SUMMARY:
Walk the shop floor doing in process and final inspecting of parts as they come off various machines or completed weldments and assemblies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Working on the shop floor Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be capable of interpreting mechanical drawings Basic understanding of measurement devices such as tape measures and calipers.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Continually required to stand Continually required to walk Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity Continually required to talk or hear Continually exposed to wet and/or humid conditions (non-weather) Continually work near moving mechanical parts While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision and Peripheral vision Additional remarks regarding work environment: Required to work around forklift traffic
