Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Rodbuster to join our construction team. The Rodbuster will be responsible for fabricating and assembling steel reinforcement bars (rebar) used to reinforce concrete structures on construction sites.Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine rebar placement
- Cut, bend, and fabricate rebar according to project specifications
- Assemble and secure rebar cages or mats in forms prior to concrete pours
- Use power tools such as shears, benders, and tiers to shape and tie rebar
- Inspect and repair damaged rebar as needed
- Collaborate with other construction workers to ensure accurate placement of rebar
Requirements:
- Previous experience working on construction sites
- Proficiency in using power tools for cutting, bending, and shaping rebar
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints
- Knowledge of welding techniques such as stick welding for joining rebar
- Familiarity with rigging, pipe threading, ductwork, and soldering is a plus
