Job Description

AAA Sign Co. is seeking an experienced Ironworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with steel erection, structural steel installation, and welding and be comfortable working with power tools, hydraulic equipment, and other equipment used in sign and steel installation. This position requires someone who can work safely and efficiently in a field environment, read and understand basic drawings or installation plans, and work as part of a team to complete projects according to specifications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Erect, install, and secure structural steel, steel frames, supports, and related components. Perform welding, cutting, grinding, drilling, and other metal fabrication tasks as required. Install structural components for signs, structures, and other commercial projects. Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, measurements, and installation plans. Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in steel erection and installation. Use welding equipment safely and effectively. Assist with loading, unloading, positioning, and securing steel and other materials. Operate or assist with hydraulic equipment used during installation and erection activities. Inspect materials and completed work to ensure proper fit, alignment, and installation. Work from ladders, lifts, scaffolding, elevated platforms, and other equipment as required. Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and jobsite safety procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Perform other duties related to steel erection, welding, fabrication, and installation as assigned. Required Qualifications Previous experience as an Ironworker, Steel Erector, Structural Steel Installer, or similar position . Demonstrated experience with steel erection and structural steel installation . Welding experience preferred. Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and related equipment. Ability to read and understand basic drawings, measurements, and installation plans. Ability to work at heights and in various outdoor conditions. Ability to safely lift, carry, position, and maneuver heavy materials. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Ability to work independently as well as effectively as part of a crew. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment. Ability to climb ladders and work from elevated platforms and lifts. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and work in various positions for extended periods. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely perform work requiring physical strength, coordination, and balance. Work Environment This position involves both shop and field work and may require travel to customer and construction sites. The Ironworker will routinely work around steel, welding equipment, power tools, heavy equipment, aerial lifts, and other construction-related equipment. Safety is a critical responsibility of this position. Employees are expected to follow all company safety policies and jobsite requirements at all times.

Pay:
$26.00 - $30.00 per hour
