Job Description

About the Role As a Senior Steel Fabricator, you will serve as a technical lead, driving the production of high-precision structural components. By leveraging your expertise in MIG welding and blueprint interpretation, you will ensure that every project meets rigorous quality benchmarks while fostering a culture of safety and excellence within the shop floor. Responsibilities Lead and mentor junior team members to elevate overall shop productivity and technical proficiency. Translate complex technical drawings and blueprints into accurate, high-quality structural assemblies. Drive quality assurance by performing detailed inspections of finished components to ensure industry compliance. Collaborate cross-functionally with project stakeholders to streamline workflows and hit critical project milestones. Proactively troubleshoot fabrication challenges, implementing effective solutions to maintain project momentum. Champion a safety-first environment by strictly enforcing protocols and maintaining equipment integrity. Required Skills High School diploma or GED equivalent. 5+ years of hands-on experience in structural steel fabrication and MIG welding. Current AWS welding certification. Advanced ability to interpret intricate technical schematics and blueprints. Proven track record in solving complex mechanical and fabrication issues. Comprehensive understanding of industrial safety standards and PPE usage. Preferred Skills Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a metalworking environment. Proficiency in advanced cutting and metal shaping techniques. Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks in various environmental conditions.
