Required Job Description We are seeking experienced Ironworkers to join a construction crew working throughout the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City area. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with structural steel or pre-engineered metal building erection and be comfortable using hand and power tools and construction equipment. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for reliable workers looking for the potential for long-term employment. Responsibilities Erect and assemble pre-engineered metal buildings and structural steel. Assist with layout, positioning, and installation of steel components. Read and work from construction drawings, plans, and specifications. Use hand and power tools safely and effectively. Assist with bolting, fastening, fitting, and securing structural steel components. Work as part of a field erection crew. Follow directions from the foreman and project leadership. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area. Follow all company and job-site safety requirements. Perform other duties associated with steel erection and construction as needed. Qualifications 2+ years of experience working with pre-engineered metal buildings or structural steel preferred. Previous ironworking, steel erection, or construction experience. Proficiency with hand and power tools. Ability to work safely at heights. Ability to work effectively as part of a crew. Ability to follow instructions and work from construction plans and drawings. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Welding experience or certification is a plus. OSHA certification is a plus, but not required. PPE & Tools Required Candidates must provide basic PPE, including: Hard hat Safety glasses Work gloves Work boots Other standard construction PPE as required by the job site Why Apply?
