Job Description

Quality Manufacturing a growing metal fabrication company located in Urbandale and Des Moines, IA. is looking to hire skilled and experienced Weld Lead Workers. This position supervises daily activities in the Weld Department to help ensure that there is a continuous flow of parts through the department and that parts are produced to print in accordance with QMC weld processes and procedures. Ability to work overtime as needed, is necessary, must be a dependable self-starter with a high attention to detail and able to work with minimal supervision. https://www.qualitymfgcorp.com/careers/ Weld Lead Worker Experience 3+ years in manufacturing experience required Prior welder/fabricator experience required Weld Lead Worker Skills Communicate and coordinate with all employees involved in the process (Manager(s), Welders, and others) on a daily basis Ability to use computers to access production schedules and view prints Ability to read and interpret prints and drawings Weld Lead Welder Requirements Ensure parts are produced to the schedule set by the Weld Manager and Production Scheduler Ensure that the weld department is running smoothly and that there is a continuous flow of parts Enter part information into database as welded parts are completed Oversee daily and weekly maintenance and equipment calibration. Verify all required documentation is completed in a timely manner Ensure that parts are setup per QMC weld procedures and processes Read and interpret print callouts Understand quality and appearance requirements for welded parts Ensure safety procedures are followed Assist operators in producing parts and other tasks as required Inform Weld Manager of any personnel issues or problems with equipment and troubleshoot with minimal assistance Prepare move tags and hold tags for nonconforming parts Assist with peer training Weld Lead Worker Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently Requires repetitive motion Ability to stand on concrete floors for extended periods Ability to bend, kneel, and move at all levels Ability to work in high-temperate environments Ability to work 10-12 hours in a physical demanding position
Pay:
$22.00 - $35.00 per hour
