Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on sheet metal following blueprints and technical drawings. Interpret mechanical blueprints and fabrication shop drawings accurately to guide welding procedures and assembly tasks. Utilize measuring instruments such as tape measures to ensure precise cuts and welds. Operate hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently. Follow safety protocols rigorously while handling welding equipment, rigging, and material handling machinery like forklifts. Assist in fabrication shop tasks including metal cutting, assembly, and prep Maintain a clean work environment by adhering to safety guidelines during welding operations and material handling activities. Experience Hands-on experience with welding techniques including MIG. Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and fabrication shop plans. Experience operating machinery such as press brakes, plasma cutters, machining tools, forklifts, and power tools in a fabrication or construction setting. Ability to measure accurately using calipers, micrometers, measuring tapes, and other precision instruments.
