Position Summary Entech Fabrications is seeking a Technical Service Leader to join our team and report directly to the President. Entech recently secured a partnership with a leading provider of aftermarket service, engineering support, and training for food and beverage packaging lines. This hands-on technical position provides end-to-end technical support—from equipment audits and troubleshooting through solution development, proposal support, fabrication, installation, and customer follow-up. The ideal candidate is a mechanically skilled, hands-on problem solver with fabrication and welding experience who enjoys working directly with customers and traveling to manufacturing facilities. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive audits of installed can rinsers, inverters, and related equipment at customer facilities. Inspect equipment and identify worn, damaged, or obsolete components and opportunities to improve can flow, cleaning performance, reliability, and maintenance. Develop detailed audit reports identifying required replacement parts, recommended modifications, and service requirements. Work collaboratively with Integrator partners, customers, and internal fabrication and installation teams to develop effective technical solutions. Collaborate with the Sales Proposal Specialist to ensure proper hand off of audit and inspection report to allow sales process to proceed. Fabricate replacement can twists using bending, punching, welding, cleaning, calibration, and other fabrication techniques. Use bending bars, fixtures, and other tooling to accurately form and calibrate can twists. Install replacement equipment and fabricated components at customer facilities. Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to identify root causes and determine appropriate corrective actions. Evaluate potential solutions and recommend practical, cost-effective options based on customer requirements and equipment performance. Support equipment startups, modifications, repairs, and service activities as needed. Maintain accurate documentation of audits, parts requirements, service activities, and recommended improvements. Follow all OSHA requirements and customer-specific plant safety procedures. Represent Entech professionally and maintain a strong customer-first approach during all customer interactions. Travel frequently throughout North America to customer and prospect facilities - travel expectation can be upwards of 75% including overtime. Location & Travel This position is based at our Elk Grove Village, Illinois facility. For this position, travel is frequent throughout North America to customer and prospect facilities, typically 2-5 days per week depending on customer requirements and project schedules. Required Qualifications Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build trust and confidence through technical knowledge, sound judgment, and professional customer interaction. Fabrication and welding experience. Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality work. Strong hand-eye coordination and ability to work with precision. Ability to read, interpret, and work from technical information, drawings, and specifications. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with customers, Integrator partners, and internal teams. Willingness and ability to travel frequently throughout North America. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods. Ability to follow safety procedures and customer-specific plant requirements. Must have reliable personal hand tools; Entech provides other required shop equipment and tooling. Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or GED. One or more years of CAD experience, such as CAD software such as AutoCAD Experience in canning, beverage, food processing, or packaging industries. Experience with beverage conveyor design, fabrication, installation, and service. Experience servicing or maintaining high-speed manufacturing or packaging equipment.
