Overview Join our dynamic team as a Sales / Welder and become a vital part of our fabrication and construction operations! This energetic role combines customer engagement with hands-on welding expertise, offering an exciting opportunity to showcase your technical skills while providing exceptional service. You will be responsible for promoting our metal fabrication solutions, interpreting technical drawings, and executing precise welding tasks on various metal materials. Being able to go out and give pricing estimates on jobs assuring customers that we are the right people for the job & we get it done right the first time -vehicle to move around in will be provided - pay rate will be determined based on experience and sales Duties Engage with customers to understand their project needs and recommend appropriate fabrication and welding solutions Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to guide fabrication processes Perform welding operations using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards and ASME codes Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure precise fabrication Assemble fabricated components, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, shop math calculations, and quality standards Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspection reports and compliance documentation Collaborate with team members on metal fabrication projects involving sheet metal, mechanical parts, and structural assemblies Skills Extensive construction site experience with knowledge of safety protocols and hazard awareness Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and interpreting mechanical blueprints for fabrication accuracy Skilled in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, gas metal arc welding (GMAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), and soldering Strong mechanical knowledge of metal materials, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly processes Ability to operate measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math calculations confidently Experience with plasma cutting, gas cutting methods, and the use of power tools for fabrication tasks Familiarity with ASME standards for pressure vessels and piping systems is a plus Excellent understanding of safety protocols related to welding environments and construction sites Mechanical fabrication expertise with hands-on experience in shop environments involving metal materials and structural assembly Embark on a rewarding career where your welding craftsmanship meets customer service excellence!
