About the Role As a Structural Metal Fabricator and Welder, you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity of large-scale steel components through precise Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) techniques. You will be responsible for maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, directly contributing to the structural reliability of our finished products. Responsibilities Execute high-quality Flux-Core welding repairs on steel cylinders to meet rigorous structural standards. Perform critical back gouging and back welding processes to ensure deep penetration and weld strength. Utilize oxy-acetylene torches, grinders, and various fabrication tools to prepare and finish metal surfaces. Inspect interior and exterior surfaces to identify and rectify base-metal or weld defects. Ensure all fabrication work adheres to AWWA C200 and other relevant industry specifications. Maintain precise dimensional accuracy by measuring components to the nearest 1/32 inch. Uphold a clean, organized, and safety-compliant workstation at all times. Qualifications Required Skills Proven experience performing Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) in a production setting. Demonstrated ability to pass a 3G FCAW weld test, including back gouge and back weld procedures. Capacity to maintain a high weld acceptance rate consistent with 100% radiographic inspection standards. Proficiency in using industrial cutting torches, grinders, and precision measuring tools. Strong commitment to workplace safety protocols and reliable attendance. Preferred Skills Hands-on experience with Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW). Familiarity with Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) processes. Previous experience working with ASME Section VIII quality requirements.
