In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, welding, and fabricating metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise in interpreting technical drawings, measuring instruments, and welding techniques will contribute to the successful completion of diverse projects on construction sites and within fabrication shops. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of metal materials, utilize advanced tools and equipment, and uphold the highest quality standards in mechanical fabrication. Duties Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and ASME codes & standards to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of metal components Measure, mark, cut, and shape sheet metal and other metal materials using calipers, micrometers, plasma cutters, power tools, and hand tools Perform welding operations including MIG (GMAW). Assemble fabricated parts using mechanical knowledge, shop math, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and measuring tapes Conduct quality inspections of welds and fabricated components to meet safety protocols and project specifications Maintain a clean, safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and utilizing proper personal protective equipment at all times Support fabrication shop operations by assisting with metal fabrication tasks, assembly processes, and equipment maintenance as needed Requirements Strong knowledge of welding techniques. Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and interpret mechanical blueprints accurately Proficiency with measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, tape measures, and other precision tools Mechanical knowledge related to assembly processes and mechanical fabrication standards.
