You will utilize your expertise in welding and metal assembly to transform raw materials into complex, high-quality components while contributing to continuous process improvements. Responsibilities Execute precise layout, fitting, and welding of structural steel, tubing, and plate components. Interpret complex blueprints and technical specifications to ensure exact fabrication standards. Manage the entire fabrication workflow, including cutting, beveling, and preparing materials for assembly. Construct and maintain production jigs and fixtures to optimize manufacturing efficiency. Perform post-weld finishing, including grinding and cleaning, to meet rigorous quality benchmarks. Collaborate with the engineering team to refine tooling processes and enhance product design. Conduct routine preventive maintenance on shop equipment to ensure operational reliability. Qualifications Required Skills 4+ years of professional experience in welding, fitting, and metal fabrication. Advanced proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and drawings. Strong technical background in structural and pipe layout techniques. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and effective troubleshooting capabilities. High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Skills Current or previous ASME Section IX certification. Experience with diverse welding processes and metal types. Proven track record of maintaining high safety and quality standards in a shop environment.
