Job Title:
Ironworker Foreman Job Description We are seeking an Ironworker Foreman who is open to learning and development. The ideal candidate must be able to read a tape measure and blueprints, work comfortably in dirty and dusty environments, and be willing to ask questions to learn the ropes. This role involves working around cranes and rigging up I-beams, as well as working on structural steel that supports buildings. Candidates must be comfortable working at heights while being safely secured on a scissor lift. Responsibilities Work around cranes and rigging up I-beams. Connect I-beams to columns. Work on structural steel that supports buildings. Operate power tools, torch, hot saw, and basic iron-working tools proficiently. Safely operate boom lifts, scissor lifts, and telescoping forklifts. Perform tasks involving repeated bending, lifting, twisting, and climbing with the ability to lift up to 100 pounds. Read blueprints and layout accurately. Essential Skills Experience as a construction general laborer or ironworker. Proficiency in structural steel work. Ability to perform stick welding. Comfortable working at heights with safety harnesses. Ability to read blueprints and layouts. Additional Skills & Qualifications Certified stick welder with experience in 3g and 4g welding. 1g welding certification may also be considered. Experience working in dirty and dusty environments. Work Environment Work primarily outdoors in dirty and dusty environments. The role involves exposure to the elements, requiring adaptability and resilience. Safety is prioritized, with the use of safety harnesses and equipment on-site. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $33.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
