Job Description
Build Something That Lasts East & Westbrook Construction is seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our growing fabrication team. This position is responsible for reading blueprints, laying out materials, fitting and fabricating structural steel components, and ensuring quality workmanship from start to finish. We are looking for dependable team members who take pride in their work, work safely, and contribute to a positive shop culture. What You'll Do Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Measure, mark, cut, bevel, drill, and prepare materials for fabrication. Fit and assemble structural steel components, railings, stairs, and miscellaneous metals. Operate fabrication equipment including saws, ironworkers, drills, grinders, and other shop tools. Perform layout and fit-up work to ensure proper dimensions and alignment. Work closely with welders, shop leaders, and project teams to meet production schedules. Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy before shipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE. Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials as needed. What We're Looking For 2+ years of fabrication experience preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings. Experience working with structural steel, miscellaneous metals, or industrial fabrication. Working knowledge of fabrication tools and equipment. Strong math and measurement skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Dependable attendance and strong work ethic. Commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Preferred Qualifications Welding experience (MIG, FCAW, or Stick). AWS certifications. Experience operating forklifts, cranes, or rigging equipment. Structural steel fabrication experience. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift materials throughout the shift. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to work in a fabrication shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Why Join East & Westbrook?
