Job Summary We are seeking an adaptable and skilled Industrial Metal Faber/Welder to join our maintenance department. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment, with an emphasis on metal fab work involving machine guards and other custom projects. You will work with our Maintenance Dept Lead to handle a variety of metal fab, welding, repair, and mechanical tasks to keep operations running smoothly. Responsibilities Work with Maintenance Dept to ensure production continues safely and effectively The majority of the welding work will be custom fab work using MIG welder and stick welder to create and update machine guards Welding work to repair mechanical structures and equipment Must be able to work to spec, following oral directions and copying past designs Be a team player and involved in creative problem solving solutions to keep production running safely Help maintain building maintenance tasks as needed such as HVAC, carpentry, electric, painting, plumbing, general facilities upkeep etc Qualifications Desire to work on a team and collaborate with others Ability to work in a fast paced environment where needs and tasks may change based on production Proven experience with welding techniques and mechanical repairs Proficiency with hand tools and facilities maintenance tasks This full-time position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility.
