About the Role As a Metal Fabrication Welder, you will play a vital role in constructing high-quality structural components by utilizing advanced welding techniques. You will contribute to the success of complex infrastructure projects by ensuring every weld meets rigorous industry standards, directly impacting the durability and safety of the final product. Responsibilities Execute precise welds using GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW processes across multiple positions to meet structural integrity requirements. Interpret complex blueprints and technical specifications to ensure accurate fabrication of metal components. Perform thorough pre- and post-weld inspections to guarantee compliance with AWS D1.1 and
AWWA D100
standards. Utilize overhead bridge cranes and specialized rigging equipment to safely maneuver heavy materials throughout the shop. Operate oxy-acetylene torches and grinding tools to prepare surfaces and refine metal parts for assembly. Collaborate with the production team to maintain efficient workflows and uphold a culture of safety and excellence. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of professional welding experience. Proven ability to pass weld tests in horizontal and vertical positions per ASME Section IX. Demonstrated proficiency in producing X-ray quality welds in a production environment. Strong understanding of welding industry best practices and safety protocols. Reliable transportation and a commitment to maintaining a consistent, full-time work schedule. Preferred Skills Prior experience working with stainless steel or aluminum materials. Advanced knowledge of metal gouging and finishing techniques. Experience in heavy industrial or structural fabrication settings.
