Shop Technician Redline Precision Group LLC Bossier City, LA Job Details 13 hours ago Qualifications Forklift Material handling equipment operation Full Job Description Redline Precision Group is seeking a dependable, hands-on Shop Technician to support daily operations in our machine shop. This is a hands-on role responsible for cutting steel and stock material, assisting with fabrication and welding tasks, operating a forklift, and keeping the shop running safely and efficiently. It's a strong opportunity for someone mechanically inclined who wants to grow their skills in a fast-paced fabrication and machining environment. Key Responsibilities Cut steel and stock material to size using saws, torches, and related shop equipment Assist welders and fabricators with fit-up, prep, and general fabrication tasks Operate a forklift to move, stage, and load material and finished product Support machinists and shop personnel with setup, material handling, and cleanup Read and interpret basic drawings, cut lists, and work orders Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Perform routine maintenance and upkeep on shop equipment and tools Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, and shop procedures Qualifications Ability to accurately cut steel and stock material Basic welding knowledge or experience (a plus; willingness to learn required) Forklift experience (certification a plus; we can certify the right candidate) Ability to read a tape measure and basic shop drawings Mechanically inclined with good attention to detail Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, bend, and work on your feet throughout the shift Reliable, safety-focused, and a team player High school diploma or equivalent preferred Preferred (Not Required) Prior experience in a machine shop, fabrication shop, or industrial setting Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments Basic understanding of steel grades and material handling Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay, based on experience (DOE) Benefits package available Opportunity to learn new skills and advance within the company
