Harvey, LA Rate of Pay:
Up to $28.00 per hour (based on experience) Hutco Inc. is seeking first-class ship fitters for shipyards located in Harvey, LA. Looking for first-class ship fitters only with shipyard experience. A test will be conducted on-site to assess your capabilities. It primarily repairs work on barges and boats. NO TWIC card is required.
Description:
Lays out and fabricates metal structural parts, such as plates, bulkheads, and frames, and braces them in position within the ship's hull for welding.
Requirements:
M inimum 2 years experience as a 1st class ship fitter Outfitting experience Must know Ship terminology Must lay out and fabricate parts for ships Must be able to burn, wash, and bevel with a hand torch Must pass a drug test and physical Must be able to work all shifts
