Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Aluminum Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling aluminum components and structures with precision and efficiency. Your expertise in metal fabrication and welding techniques will contribute to delivering high-quality aluminum boats that meet safety standards and client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing advanced tools and techniques in a fast-paced environment dedicated to craftsmanship and excellence. Responsibilities Read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication shop drawings to ensure accurate assembly and fabrication of customized quality boats. Measure materials using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to achieve precise cuts and welds. Operate power tools and machining equipment for cutting, shaping, and preparing sheet metal and other metal materials. Fabricate aluminum structures by cutting, bending, assembling, and welding according to AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Use hand tools such as calipers, gauges, measuring tapes, skill saws, and other mechanical tools to ensure quality workmanship. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to construction site activities, welding operations, handling of metal materials, and use of power tools. Collaborate with team members on assembly projects involving structural components or custom fabrications for construction or manufacturing applications. Conduct quality checks on finished products using measuring instruments to verify adherence to specifications. Support continuous improvement initiatives by maintaining equipment in good working order and following best practices in fabrication shop operations. Experience Proven construction site experience with a strong background in metal fabrication or welding environments. Hands-on experience with interpreting technical drawings related to aluminum fabrication projects. Demonstrated proficiency in various welding techniques including
FCAW, MIG
welding, TIG welding, SMAW (stick welding), and gas metal arc welding. Familiarity with shop math calculations necessary for precise measurements and fabrication tasks. Experience operating cutters, machining tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Knowledge of safety protocols specific to construction sites and manufacturing shops involving heavy machinery and welding operations. Ability to work efficiently in a team setting while maintaining high standards of quality workmanship in fast-paced environments. Mechanical knowledge related to assembly processes involving ductwork or structural components is preferred.
