Job Description

Welder
I. SUMMARY OF POSITION
Constructs and or repairs metal products either manually or by machine
II. RESPONSIBILITIES
Welds a range of metals including but not limited to mild steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, copper, brass, die cast, chrome metal Aware of safety regulations and must wear protective equipment to minimize heat and noise levels, and to guard against corrosive chemicals Ability to read Blueprints and weld maps preferred Ability to have all welds pass with QA/QC approval Proper placement of stencils Ability to follow all the Fabrication guidelines
III. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pass a Weld Qualification Test Provide your own personal tool in a lockable toolbox Available for short - term travel
IV. REPORTING REQUIREMENTS
High School Education or equivalent Possess a valid driver's license
V. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift, carry or otherwise move and position objects and materials weighing up to 50 lbs Ability to stand, walk or otherwise move around on a continuous basis
