We operate throughout New Zealand, with a proven ability to successfully undertake structural steel projects of any magnitude We our adding to our team and looking for Site Supervisors, Experienced Riggers and Composite Floor Decking staff to work on various sites erecting structural steel, please note some of these projects will require out of town work for long periods of time. John Jones Steel encourages and supports a safe working environment, so it is essential that you are physically fit and can demonstrate a strong commitment towards health and safety and the environment.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Composite Floor Decking 5+ years experience with composite floor decking experience Knowledge of laying and fixing metal floor decking Knowledge of shear stud welding A knowledge of fabrication and welding (advantageous) Be physically fit Current EWP ticket (advantageous) Be familiar with fixing and securing of structural steel elements according to drawings Be able to communicate well in English and take direction from others (in English) Ability to undertake and record daily checks of machinery/equipment and report issues A sound knowledge of mobile crane operations elevated work platforms and all relevant site tools and plant Ability to work out of town for extended periods (South Island based) Be able to demonstrate good decision-making and problem-solving skills You must have a can do attitude be eager to learn an ability to take direction a very good understanding of written, spoken english be strong/able and physically fit No agency enquiries please, no overseas candidates or those requiring visa's To Apply If this sounds like the right next step for you, we'd love to hear from you.
