Job Description
Phoenix Industrial Services is staffing agency that has partnered with a steel company in Monroe, MI that is looking for general steel workers to join their team! The steel workers will using various hand tools such as grinders to rework steel products to customer specifications. Will be on a rotating shift schedule between all 3 shifts. 2 days off per week and 4 days off at the end of the rotation. This is an open ended temporary position. Full time position at 40+ hours per week. Pay starts at $25.70/hour. Summary As a Steel Worker, you will contribute to fabrication and construction projects by reading blueprints, measuring with precision, and performing welding and fabrication tasks. Reporting to the shop supervisor, you will apply core skills in measuring instruments, blueprint interpretation, hand tools, MIG welding, and shop math to cut, assemble, and fabricate steel components. Your premium skills in site experience, crane operation, calipers, sheet metal, micrometer, and location-specific welding will support onsite and workshop activities. You will ensure quality, safety, and adherence to AWS standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
