This team produces custom steel components for commercial, industrial, and construction projects throughout the region, earning a reputation for quality craftsmanship and dependable service. What You'll Be Doing In this position, you'll: Perform MIG welding and metal fabrication on structural steel and custom components Read blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders to fabricate products accurately Measure, cut, fit, and assemble steel components Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, drills, and other shop tools Read tape measurements accurately and verify dimensions throughout production Load, unload, and move steel materials safely throughout the facility Inspect completed welds and fabricated products to ensure quality standards are met Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards What We're Looking For Successful candidates typically have: Previous welding and metal fabrication experience MIG welding experience strongly preferred Ability to accurately read blueprints, shop drawings, and tape measurements Experience operating fabrication equipment and hand tools Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain active throughout the shift Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team Commitment to workplace safety Benefits May Include Benefits vary by employer but may include: Competitive starting pay Weekly pay Health, Dental & Vision Insurance Paid Time Off Holiday Pay 401(k) On-the-job training and skill development Career advancement opportunities Stable, full-time employment Why You'll Love This Opportunity Starting pay of $21.52/hour Monday-Friday first shift schedule with evenings and weekends free Skilled trades position where craftsmanship is valued Work on custom fabrication projects instead of repetitive production work Continue developing your welding and fabrication expertise Stable career with a respected Northern Michigan manufacturer Join an experienced team committed to quality and precision Real Talk This is a physically active fabrication position where you'll spend your day welding, measuring, cutting, fitting, and assembling steel components.
