Description:
Indigo Signs is an innovative custom sign company that designs, manufactures, installs, and services high quality signs. We are seeking experienced Fabricators to join our Chanhassen team of collaborative sign professionals. Our Fabricators are responsible for fabricating and manufacturing components to create our customers' signage, using a variety of tools and techniques. This position requires a high level of skill and precision, as well as the ability to work independently and efficiently. We're seeking hard-working professionals who enjoy building things, prefer variety in their work, like working indoors and want a Monday-Friday 1st shift schedule with no weekends. You'll join a team of dedicated Fabricators who are productive, quality focused, resourceful, safety minded and have a sense of pride for a job well-done.
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and other drawings. Use hand tools, welding torches, and other equipment to cut, shape, and join metal parts together. Perform production processes and inspect component for accuracy and quality. Operate machinery such as shears, presses, brakes, drills, grinders, and saws. Follow safety protocols when working with hazardous materials. Maintain a clean, organized work area.
Requirements:
One+ years working as a Fabricator. Experience working with a variety of hand and power tools. Ability to lift/carry heavy items with the assistance of a co-worker or using lift equipment. Ability to read and interpret shop and CAD drawings. Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time. Welding certification is a plus. Strong knowledge of safety protocols. Experience working in a shop or construction environment is a plus. Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug/alcohol screen
