Immediate Openings. 1st and 2nd shift openings We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming raw metal materials into precise, high-quality fabricated components used across various construction and industrial applications. This role demands a strong understanding of mechanical fabrication processes, proficiency with welding techniques, and the ability to interpret detailed technical drawings and blueprints. The Metal Fabricator will play a vital part in ensuring that all projects meet safety standards, quality specifications, and client expectations. Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine project requirements. Measure, cut, shape, and assemble metal materials such as sheet metal, pipes, and structural components using hand tools, power tools, and machinery including press brake machines and plasma cutters. Perform various welding techniques including MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and measuring tapes to ensure accurate fabrication according to specifications. Operate rigging equipment for lifting and positioning heavy metal components safely on construction sites or within fabrication shops. Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols while handling tools, machinery, and hazardous materials. Collaborate with team members to assemble fabricated parts accurately and efficiently. Conduct routine inspections of finished work to verify quality control standards are met. Support pipe threading, ductwork fabrication, and assembly tasks as required by project scope. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency. Experience Proven experience in metal fabrication within a manufacturing or construction environment. Hands-on knowledge of construction site practices related to metalwork is highly desirable. Demonstrated proficiency with welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding. Familiarity with interpreting mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and ASME codes & standards. Experience operating fabrication shop equipment such as press brakes, plasma cutters, and machining tools. Ability to use measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools confidently. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to welding, rigging, machining, and construction activities. Mechanical knowledge encompassing shop math, mechanical blueprint interpretation, pipe threading, soldering, plasma cutting, and assembly processes. Prior experience working with metal materials such as sheet metal for fabrication projects. Knowledge of construction site procedures related to metal installation is advantageous.
