$35/hr Posted 07/2026 Job Description Overview $35/hr Job Summary AOG Resources has 2 clients in Kansas City MO looking for high level structures mechanics - long term open ended opportunity. Position Summary AOG Resources is seeking experienced Sheet Metal/Structures Mechanics to perform complex structural repairs and modifications on commercial aircraft. This role involves large-scale skin work, precision disassembly, and heavy maintenance tasks in compliance with FAA regulations, OEM specifications, and company standards. As a critical member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the airworthiness and structural integrity of various aircraft types including B747, B737, A320, and A330 models in a dynamic MRO environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex structural repairs, including large skin repairs with doublers/triplers and compound contours.
  • Carry out disassembly, troubleshooting, servicing, repairs, and modifications on aircraft systems and components.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, engineering drawings, SRMs (Structural Repair Manuals), service bulletins, and maintenance manuals.
  • Accurately complete all necessary maintenance documentation, including routine and non-routine work cards, ensuring compliance with FAA and company policies.
  • Maintain control of tools and parts and ensure proper usage of equipment and instruments.
  • Work in accordance with all safety guidelines, hazardous material handling procedures, and environmental regulations.
  • Obtain appropriate sign-offs and document completed tasks with precision and accountability.

  • Valid driver's license.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience working on commercial heavy jets (B747, B737, A320, A330) in an MRO or equivalent heavy maintenance setting.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documentation and maintenance publications.
  • Solid understanding of FARs, ADs, ATA codes, service bulletins, and all applicable regulatory and procedural requirements.
  • Skilled in layout and fabrication techniques, including bend radius, set back, and bend allowance calculations using shop math.
  • Able to complete repairs requiring complex structural work and contour shaping.
  • Familiarity with hazardous material handling and disposal procedures.
  • Must be able to obtain an airport SIDA badge (pass background check). Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, crouch, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working from ladders, scaffolding, and elevated platforms.
  • Capable of working with arms overhead and handling small parts/tools with precision.
  • Must have correctable near and far vision.
  • Ability to hear standard conversations with or without a hearing aid.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
