Full Job Description Job Title:
MIG/TIG Welder Shift:
6AM-2:30PM (opportunity for overtime).
Pay:
$24-29/hour for shop welders and $28-33/hour for local traveling welders. Job Description This role focuses on performing high-quality MIG and TIG welding in a metal fabrication environment. You will work with various metals, including stainless steel, to produce accurate and durable components by reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings, using hand and power tools, and contributing to a wide range of fabrication and metal manufacturing projects. Have openings for shop welders as well as traveling welders (Greater Springfield area). Responsibilities Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metals, including stainless steel, to produce high-quality welds that meet specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents to understand project requirements and weld symbols. Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools such as tape measures consistently and accurately to prepare and assemble materials. Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and related tools in accordance with safety and operational guidelines. Assist with metal fabrication tasks, including cutting, fitting, and assembling components prior to welding. Inspect completed welds and fabricated parts for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications, making adjustments as needed. Follow safety procedures and best practices while working in a metal shop and fabrication environment. Collaborate with team members to complete production and fabrication projects efficiently and on schedule. Essential Skills Proficiency in MIG welding. Proficiency in TIG welding. Ability to weld stainless steel and other metals accurately and consistently. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings. Experience in fabrication and metal manufacturing. Skilled in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to use a tape measure accurately and consistently. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to follow safety procedures in a metal shop environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Any education or certification related to welding is a bonus. OSHA 10 certification is a bonus. Previous experience working in a metal shop or fabrication setting is beneficial. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Springfield, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $73000.00/yr. Company offers full medical, dental, and vision insurance. 401k is offered. PTO included. Pay is weekly. 90 day pay review and annual pay reviews.
