Job Description
GH Tool is an established leader in the die cast tooling industry, and now expanding into Aerospace. We are in need of a talented welder/fabricator with great mechanical skills to build these unique tools. You will perform welding functions on tool steel cavity components, mild steel trim die components, and aerospace components. This includes both TIG and MIG welder operations. Perform flame hardening of various components using torch and water quench. Aerospace fabrication experience is a BIG plus, but you will be working with die cast tool steel as well. Welder must be able to read blueprints, follow sketches and verbal instructions, and weld components within specification. Components requiring welding frequently require being at an elevated temperature (up to 800 degrees F) before welding and protection from heat is required. Accuracy and attention to detail are critical to this position. The position involves frequent lifting, and standing through parts of the shift. Various cutting tools are used generating metal chips, and the consistent application of safe work practices is critical. Regular attendance is required and considerable overtime is to be expected.
