In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding operations on various metal materials, primarily focusing on sheet metal fabrication and structural components. Your expertise will ensure that all welds meet industry standards and project specifications, contributing to the successful completion of manufacturing and construction projects. This position offers an energetic environment where precision, safety, and craftsmanship are paramount, with a focus on delivering exceptional results during the evening shift. Responsibilities Execute Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) on diverse metal materials, including sheet metal and structural components, adhering to American Welding Society (AWS) standards. Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine welding requirements and procedures. Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and measuring tapes to ensure precise cuts and welds according to specifications. Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment safely and efficiently for fabrication tasks. Maintain a clean and organized work area while following strict safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations. Collaborate with team members on assembly, fabrication, and installation processes in a construction or manufacturing environment. Conduct quality checks using shop math, blueprint reading skills, and mechanical knowledge to verify weld integrity and dimensional accuracy. Requirements Must be able to work in Hot or Cold warehouse. Proven experience in welding within construction sites or fabrication shops, with a strong background in

FCAW, MIG

(Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW). Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing specifications accurately. Proficiency with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools. Familiarity with construction site safety protocols, crane operation awareness, forklift handling, and general shop safety practices. Mechanical knowledge related to metal materials, sheet metal fabrication, mechanical assembly, and manufacturing processes. Experience working with power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, machining equipment, and gas metal arc welding techniques. Strong understanding of welding standards set by the American Welding Society (AWS) or equivalent industry bodies. Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for fabrication shop math and measurements. Construction site experience is preferred; familiarity with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings is essential.
