Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking skilled and dedicated Miscellaneous Metals Fabricators to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling steel handrails, stairs, and a variety of metal components and structures according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings. Your expertise in metal fabrication, welding, and mechanical interpretation will ensure high-quality craftsmanship that meets safety standards and project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction and manufacturing projects, contributing to the creation of durable, precise metal structures within predetermined time frames. Duties Exemplary attendance and punctuality is required. Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine dimensions, materials, and assembly procedures. Measure materials accurately using a tape measure, other measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise fabrication. Cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other metal materials utilizing plasma cutters, power tools, hand tools, and machining equipment. Perform welding operations, including MIG welding, in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Use cranes, forklifts, and other lifting equipment safely to move heavy materials during fabrication and installation processes. Assemble fabricated components with mechanical fasteners or welding techniques following safety protocols and quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety procedures at all times during construction site or shop operations. Qualifications Proven steel handrail and/or stair manufacturing background. Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and interpreting mechanical blueprints. Skilled in using a tape measure and other measuring tools for precise fabrication. Hands-on experience with MIG welding techniques. Knowledge of shop math, basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Familiarity with construction safety protocols and the ability to follow strict safety guidelines at all times. Experience operating power tools, plasma cutters, machining equipment, forklifts, and other fabrication machinery. Mechanical knowledge related to metal materials such as sheet metal fabrication and structural steel assembly. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately for manufacturing or construction purposes. Prior experience working in a fabrication shop with fabricating steel handrails and/or steel stairs is highly desirable. Pay:
From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 56.0 per week
