Manufactures torch brazed assemblies according to customer requirements and production schedule; including tube cutting/trimming, end forming, grinding/polishing, cleaning, and torch brazing. Inspects product for conformance at each operation; complies with internal quality system, business policies, and regulatory requirements; supports business goals and objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reads and understands blueprints and work instructions. Sets up machines according to work instructions to trim, size, form, inspect, and torch braze material to meet fabrication drawing requirements. Trim, size, align, clean, flux, and torch braze assemblies using fixtures, jigs, shop aids, etc. Form, cold work, polish, and inspect assembly end points, surfaces, and brazed joints to meet requirements. Inspects, maintains, and logs preventative maintenance on equipment needed for torch brazing. Maintains qualification for brazing certifications. Requires minimal supervision to plan and schedule workload according to production schedule to meet manufacturing needs. Visually inspects and accepts/rejects completed welds and brazes. Cleans work area, tools, and equipment at end of shift. Adheres to manufacturing schedules Participates in training and cross training in production areas, specifically tube bend Ensures that quality standards are met. Maintains tools and equipment, keeps work area clean and free from debris Complies with all MTPP safety and quality procedures Performs other duties as assigned.
Schedule:
4 10-hour shifts with a three-day weekend! 1st
Shift:
Monday - Thursday, 6 AM - 4:30 PM Requirements Mathematical Ability (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) Ability to read, write, and speak English Good attention to detail and eye/hand coordination skills. Near vision of Jaeger #2 at 12" and far vision of 20/30 or better in either eye, with or without corrective lenses. US Person Status High School Diploma or Equivalent Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen or criminal background check Ability to work safely and adequately using hand tools, saws, sanders, and clamps Ability to lift 25 to 40 pounds occasionally Ability to follow instructions and report information Previous Torch Brazing experience or background knowledge of concepts and operational experience in metal forming preferred
