Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to work on precision mechanical rolls from start to finish. The ideal candidate has experience working with stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum tubing, and is comfortable using balancing equipment to ensure parts meet exact specifications. This role requires hands-on mechanical fabrication skills and the ability to read and follow detailed work instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Fabricate mechanical rolls using stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum tubing.
  • Balance rolls using provided equipment; understand balancing procedures and techniques.
  • Work from start to finish on roll production, including assembly and finishing tasks.
  • Operate lathes, mills, or other mechanical fabrication machinery (engine lathe or similar).
  • Read blueprints and technical instructions to ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Maintain strict quality standards and attention to detail.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of hands-on fabrication experience, preferably in analog roll manufacturing or precision mechanical component fabrication.
  • Experience with stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum tubing.
  • Knowledge of balancing rolls and using balancing equipment.
  • Experience with lathes, mills, or similar machinery.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow instructions precisely and work independently.
Preferred:
  • 5 years of fabrication experience in roll production or mechanical components.
Pay:
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
