• Sunstates Security is seeking qualified Part-Time Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) for a client site in Charlotte, NC area. Multiple shifts are available, including weekends. The position offers a pay rate of $24.88/hr
• paid weekly . Candidates must have a valid EMT License to be considered.
• $500 upon successful completion of two weeks of EMT training.

And another $500 after 6 months of employment, pending review and approval by the Account Manager and Nurse. Position Summary The EMT is responsible for providing emergency medical response, supporting site safety and security operations, and assisting with incident management in accordance with Sunstates Security policies and client requirements. Key Responsibilities Provide first aid and emergency medical care to injured or ill individuals. Assess injuries and determine appropriate treatment and response procedures. Coordinate and assist with patient transportation to medical facilities when necessary. Respond to medical emergencies and requests for assistance. Deliver emergency care within the scope of EMT certification. Follow site-specific safety, security, and emergency response procedures. Conduct routine and random patrols of the facility and surrounding property. Complete required documentation, including Daily Activity Logs and Incident Reports. Report all medical incidents, accidents, and emergencies accurately and promptly. Maintain a professional presence while providing exceptional customer service. Job Requirements Qualifications Must have valid EMT License. Valid CPR and First Aid certification. Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle. Basic computer proficiency and technical skills. Availability to work weekends as needed. Ability to learn and follow Post Orders, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and emergency response protocols. Strong decision-making skills and ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. Flex EMT Explanation The Flex EMT position is crucial to our company's operational and financial success. The flex EMT provides trained, competent support by working shifts which become open due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, or other causes. This enables Sunstates to provide continual, uninterrupted service to our customers, while also protecting the health and work balance of our personnel. Scheduling Expectations The scheduling parameters and expectations for a flex officer are different from those of an employee assigned to a fixed post.

As a flex:

You will be trained at various posts and /or facilities based on operational need. While you may work at a specific post or location for several weeks due to need, this will not be a permanent assignment. Your schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week, etc.) will vary based on operational need. You will be assigned to, or offered the opportunity to accept, shifts as they become available due to staffing needs. Some of your shifts will be scheduled in advance and posted with the new week's schedule. Sometimes you will be called with short notice and asked to come in to cover for someone who is unable to work their shift. You are expected to work any shift for which you are scheduled in advance which falls within the availability described on this sheet. If you know you will be unavailable on an upcoming date or time that would normally fall within your availability described on this sheet, you must communicate this with your supervisor, so they know not to schedule you. For short-notice call-ins, you are expected to work at least 80% of the shifts for which you are called. If you refuse more than 20% of shifts for which you are called in, this could negatively impact your employment status with the company.
