As our workload grows, we're seeking an experienced High-Level Custom Metal Fabricator to join our team and take on complex, hands-on fabrication work. With a focus on excellence and innovation, we take pride in our commitment to exceeding client expectations.
Job Summary:
We're looking for a master-level fabricator with strong technical ability, a deep understanding of metals and fabrication processes, and the creativity to build something that has never been built before. This role involves working on diverse custom projects from start to finish—reading drawings, planning work, fabricating components, and delivering flawless results.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret detailed drawings, blueprints, and sketches for complex custom builds. Fabricate high-quality metal parts using MIG, TIG, Stick, and various other welding techniques. Operate fabrication equipment including press brakes, shears, rollers, saws, plasma cutters, grinders, and hand tools. Work with a range of materials (steel, stainless steel, aluminum, specialty alloys). Fit, assemble, and finish components to tight tolerances. Collaborate with project managers to solve problems and develop fabrication approaches. Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. Mentor other fabricators when needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required 3+ years of experience in custom metal fabrication or a comparable advanced fabrication role. Expert-level welding skills (TIG expertise strongly preferred). Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, metallurgy, and material behavior. Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex, custom projects. Strong math, measurement, and layout skills. Skilled at building prototypes, one-off components, or specialty architectural/industrial pieces. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work safely in a shop environment. Positive attitude, attention to detail, and pride in craftsmanship. Preferred Experience Architectural metalwork Machining experience On-site installation or field work
