Steel Erector

Rice Companies is looking for a Steel Erector to join the team at our Fargo, ND, location. Our Steel Erectors are responsible for successfully performing Pre-Engineered steel building erection for our projects.

Position Responsibilities:

Steel Erectors spend their time on a variety of tasks including: Setting conventional steelInstalling metal wall and roof panelsPlacing building insulationMetal trim and flashing installation.

Installing metal doors and hardwareAdditional Responsibilities may include some rough carpentry and selective demolition.

Qualifications:

Ability to receive direction and work with and without supervisionDemonstrated skill in the use, care, and safety of basic carpentry and power equipmentPrevious experience in commercial steel/metal building erection is strongly preferred.

Experience reading and interpreting blueprintsProficient in the operation of equipment (scissor lift, forklifts, boom lifts, skid steer, etc.) Certification preferred.

Confidence to work at heightsAwareness of health and safety guidelinesGood team working skills.

Rice Companies supplies all power tools, shirts, and safety equipment. Overnight Travel (Monday - Friday) is required on a per-project basis.
