Railcar Technician Location:

Hastings, NE Pay:

Starting at $25.00/hour

Schedule:

Monday-Thursday | 6:00 AM-4:30 PM (Overtime on Fridays as needed) Looking for a hands-on career where your welding and mechanical skills are valued? We're hiring a Railcar Technician for a growing company in Hastings! This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with the potential for a pay increase and excellent benefits after being hired on.

What You'll Do:

Clean, inspect and prepare railcars for repair and finishing Operate blasting equipment to remove rust, paint and other materials Assist with railcar repairs, welding and fabrication Help painters prepare railcars for finishing Use hand and power tools including grinders, sanders and blasting equipment Work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions Perform work at heights and in confined spaces while using proper safety equipment

What We're Looking For:

Strong welding and mechanical experience Stable work history with previous jobs held for 2 years or more Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces Ability to lift, bend, climb and perform physical work throughout the day Basic math, reading and communication skills Steel-toed boots required Why Apply?
