Job Description
Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented General Metal Fabricator to join our team that has worked in a metal fabrication shop before. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw metal materials into precise, high-quality components and assemblies that meet project specifications. Your expertise in various welding techniques, blueprint reading, and metal fabrication processes will be essential to ensure safety, efficiency, and excellence in every task. Duties Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements and procedures. Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components. Measure and mark materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise fabrication. Use fabrication shop experience to assemble parts, interpret technical drawings accurately, and adhere strictly to safety protocols at all times. Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly handling materials and disposing of waste according to safety standards. Skills Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and interpreting mechanical blueprints for fabrication tasks. Knowledge of shop math, basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations during fabrication processes. Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other precision tools. Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication shop operations including machining, press brake operation, and assembly. Ability to operate power tools safely including grinders, drills, saws, and other fabrication equipment. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately while adhering to safety guidelines at all times. We are looking for an experienced precision metal worker. This is not an HVAC position.
