POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Ironworker / Structural Steel Erector to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for erecting, connecting, and securing structural steel components used in commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. This position requires working at heights, operating power tools, interpreting construction drawings, and following strict safety procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Erect and install structural steel frameworks, columns, beams, joists, decking, and miscellaneous metals.
• Align, bolt, weld, and secure steel members according to project requirements.
• Signal crane operators during lifting and placement operations.
• Perform rigging activities and safely handle suspended loads.
• Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment instruments.
• Verify measurements and ensure work meets quality standards and project specifications.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Perform daily inspections of equipment and work areas.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to complete projects safely and efficiently.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in structural steel erection, ironwork, or related construction trades.
• Working knowledge of rigging practices and fall protection systems.
• Experience operating construction tools and equipment.
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures.
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime.

PREFERRED

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
• Welding certifications (AWS preferred).
• Experience with commercial and industrial steel erection projects.
• Current first aid/CPR certification.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders, work on elevated surfaces, and perform tasks at significant heights.
• Ability to stand, kneel, squat, bend, and work in physically demanding environments for extended periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
