$40-$45/hour, depending on experience Rampage Industrial Services is looking for an experienced Field Welder/Fabricator to join our growing operation. We specialize in industrial and commercial field fabrication, structural and mechanical steel, equipment supports, platforms, railings, shutdown work, and custom fabrication throughout New Jersey and the NYC area. This is not an entry-level welding position. We're looking for someone dependable who can work alongside the owner initially and eventually take responsibility for running portions of jobs independently. What You'll Be Doing Structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication and installation MIG and Stick welding Stainless steel fabrication and welding Field measuring, fitting and layout Installing platforms, supports, railings, dunnage and equipment steel Drilling, cutting, grinding and plasma cutting Reading drawings and working from field dimensions Working in mechanical rooms, rooftops, industrial facilities and active commercial sites Occasionally assisting with shutdown and emergency work What We're Looking For You should be comfortable walking onto a job and actually getting work done without needing constant supervision.

Ideal candidates can:

Read a tape accurately Fit and fabricate steel Produce quality welds Read basic fabrication/structural drawings Lay out holes, plates, supports and assemblies Safely operate grinders, saws, mag drills, plasma cutters and common fabrication equipment Think through field conditions and solve problems Communicate clearly when something doesn't match the drawings Show up on time and ready to work AWS certifications are a plus, but ability, reliability and attitude matter more than a piece of paper. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required. What This Position Can Become We're not just looking for someone to fill a spot.
