Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Steel/Aluminum Fabricator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming metal materials into precise, high-quality components and assemblies according to detailed blueprints and technical specifications. Your expertise in welding, cutting, measuring, and fabrication (mostly Railings) will be essential in producing durable products that meet industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of metal materials in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment where your craftsmanship makes a tangible impact. Duties Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine project requirements. Measure, cut, shape, and assemble steel and aluminum components using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment. Perform welding operations including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), , and stick welding to join metal parts securely. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and measuring tapes to ensure accurate dimensions and tolerances. Assemble fabricated parts into finished products or structures, verifying fit and function before final inspection. Qualifications Proven experience in metal fabrication within a manufacturing or construction setting; sheet metal fabrication experience is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and gas metal arc welding. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical schematics accurately. Proficiency with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise fabrication work. Familiarity with construction site safety procedures and the use of hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment. Mechanical knowledge related to assembly processes and mechanical blueprint interpretation.
