Shop Worker/Helper Job Description:

Our company is looking for a Shop Helper to serve as an assistant in various areas of the warehouse/fabrication shop. We're seeking someone with a good work ethic with attention to detail and who likes meeting challenges and can multitask. Opportunities to grow into specialized roles available. This is an entry level position into being a fabricator.

Job Duties:

Duties could include packaging, banding, operating a table saw, assembling parts onto pallets. Assisting in unloading and loading of steel trucks. Pulling hardware. This position frequently uses an overhead crane and forklift to move material around the warehouse and yard. Operating various pieces of equipment, including drill line or angle master. Provide assistance in maintenance or production work in the shop. This job requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs periodically. Sweeping and cleaning up regularly to ensure safe working conditions.

Job Experience:

Minimum Qualifications 2 years of dependable work experience 1 year of manufacturing/warehouse experience Preferred Basic math skills and reading a tape measure. High school diploma

Skills:

Good listener with the ability to follow directions. Positive and professional attitude Dependable and detail-oriented

$18.00 - $24.00 per hour (hourly rate depending on experience)
